HomeBuilder

HomeBuilder provides eligible owner-occupiers (including first home buyers) with a grant of $25,000 to build a new home or substantially renovate an existing home. HomeBuilder will assist the residential construction market by encouraging the commencement of new home builds and renovations.

You will be able to apply for HomeBuilder when the relevant State or Territory Government that you live in, or plan to live in, signs the National Partnership Agreement with the Commonwealth Government.

Information on when and how you will be able to apply will become available through the relevant State or Territory revenue office in due course.

Information about what Homebuilder will mean for the construction industry is available on business.gov.au or by contacting 132846. Please keep in touch with business.gov.au for updated State and Territory information as it becomes available.

Signatories

The Commonwealth is pleased to announce that all states and territories are now signatories to the HomeBuilder National Partnership.

Australian Capital Territory

Information on the application processes for those wishing to access the Commonwealth HomeBuilder grant will be made available through the Australian Capital Territory’s Revenue Office, the ACT Revenue Office from the week beginning 13 July.

New South Wales

Further information on eligibility and application processes for those wishing to access the Commonwealth HomeBuilder grant will be made available shortly through the New South Wales Revenue Office, Revenue NSW. You can also contact Revenue NSW at Home.Builder@revenue.nsw.gov.au or call 1300 130 624.

Northern Territory

Further information on eligibility and application processes for those wishing to access the Commonwealth HomeBuilder grant will be made available shortly through the Northern Territory’s Revenue Office, Territory Revenue Office.

Queensland

South Australia

Further information on eligibility and application processes for those wishing to access the Commonwealth HomeBuilder grant will be made available shortly through the South Australian Revenue Office, RevenueSA. To register your interest in accessing the Commonwealth’s grant in South Australia, please sign up to the RevenueSA email update service.

Tasmania

Further information on eligibility and application processes for those wishing to access the Commonwealth and Tasmanian HomeBuilder grants will be made available shortly through the Tasmanian State Revenue Office. To register your interest in either grant please sign up to the State Revenue Office email update service (and tick the Government Announcements checkbox which includes updates about the HomeBuilder grants).

Victoria

Western Australia
